Soft pastels
Besides my work in colored pencil and graphite, I also enjoy working with soft pastel. I feel a great deal of freedom in this medium: the direct contact with the medium and the color, the soft transitions, and especially the loose, layered way of working really appeal to me. Over the months, I have increasingly developed my own working method in this.
In addition to creating animal portraits (on commission) in soft pastel, I feel an increasing urge to expand this to landscapes and other natural elements as well. To be able to separate this from my portraits, I have created this page.
Soft pastel gives me room to let go of my perfectionism a bit more and to put atmosphere first. This is therefore something I enjoy working with.

Oil paint
Lately, I have also been experimenting with oil paint. It is a new and intuitive medium for me, in which I am still fully discovering myself. It is precisely that searching, trying, and slowly getting to know the material that makes it so enjoyable. I am still at the very beginning of this process, but I am happy to share my oil paintings along the way. In the coming period, I will regularly add new prints and cards to this page, based on these paintings. Think of it as a glimpse into something that is still in development — exploring and without a rush.
