Colored pencil

Colored pencil drawings are made with pencils that have a core of pigment and wax or oil. I use both. Depending on the pressure and layering, different shades and effects can be achieved.

Using high-quality colored pencils, I create a realistic portrait of your pet with many details.

Sizes & Prices

The prices below are for drawings in colored pencil, with a white background and one subject.

Graphite

A detailed black and white drawing, made with high quality graphite pencils.

Graphite drawings are drawings made with graphite, a material often used in pencils. Graphite is a form of carbon and offers a wide range of gray tones, from light grays to deep blacks, depending on the hardness and pressure with which you draw.

Sizes & Prices

The prices below are for drawings in graphite , with a white background and one subject.

Pastel

Pastel drawings are created using chalk-like sticks or pencils that contain soft pigment and have a rich, powdery texture.

Please note! Pastel is sensitive to stains. It gives slightly less detail, and slightly more softness.

Sizes & Prices

The prices below are for drawings in pastel, with a blank background and one subject.

Paper for pastel

For a pastel drawing you can choose from 5 colours of suede cardboard (1.7 mm).

This is very sturdy, soft and gives nice results. It is very different from 'normal' paper because of the soft surface and texture.

Add-on

Two (or more) subjects in one drawing

If you would like a drawing with two pets on it. Add €40. This is only possible with the larger sizes.

Background

The prices mentioned are for drawings without background. If you want a drawing with a simple, blurred background or a specific, detailed background, you can contact me so we can look at the price.

  • Securing your booking

To reserve a spot on the waiting list, I ask for a deposit of €25. It is not possible to get this back afterwards, if you change your mind. This deposit is paid by invoice. After payment, your spot on my waiting list is final.

At the top of the website you can see which month I am currently accepting assignments for, which also indicates how long the waiting list is at that moment (usually 2-3 months). If the portrait is a gift or if you need the drawing for a specific date, I recommend booking in time and contacting me.

Contact me via this form or send me an email (art@fencilstudio.com) to get started.

  • Process

During the drawing process, I will keep you informed of the progress and send you photos and/or videos. On these you can already see a little bit of how the drawing will turn out. I will only finish the portrait once you are 100% satisfied. And only then will you pay the rest of the invoice.

The time I need to make a portrait depends a lot on the size of the drawing. It can take 2 weeks, and if I'm a bit busier it could easily be 2 months. As soon as I start working on your assignment, I can give you a better estimate.

  • Shipping

For shippin the portrait I prefer 'flat shipping'. This way the drawing remains most beautiful.

The drawing is neatly packed, protected with tissue paper and, if it is smaller than or equal to an A4, placed in a letterbox box. All portraits are sent with track & trace. This way you can follow the package.

For drawings that are smaller than or equal to A4, you can choose to have them sent in a luxury gift box.
